Limpopo Police Arrest Woman in Murder of 33-Year-Old Man

Provincial Commissioner praises swift action by SAPS following meticulous investigation

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the swift arrest of a female suspect linked to the murder of a 33-year-old man in the Nobody area under the Mankweng policing precinct.

The suspect was arrested shortly after a murder case was reported on Tuesday, 13 January 2026.

According to police reports, it is alleged that on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, the suspect agreed to meet the victim at the Nobody RDP section. The exact circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear. However, the suspect allegedly screamed, after which the victim was brutally assaulted and robbed of his belongings by the suspect and her male accomplice.

The victim was taken to hospital for medical attention, and no criminal case was reported at the time.

On Tuesday, 13 January 2026, the victim was certified dead at the hospital due to injuries sustained during the assault. A murder case was subsequently registered for further investigation.

Following a meticulous investigation, police arrested the suspect at a rented accommodation in Nobody village. She is expected to appear before the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 19 January 2026, on a charge of murder.

Police investigations are continuing, and the search for the male accomplice is ongoing.
