Two Foreign Nationals to Appear in Court for Business Burglary in Musina

Stolen mesh fence recovered during intelligence-driven police operation.

Two foreign male nationals, aged between 29 and 42, are expected to appear before the Musina Magistrate’s Court today 19 January 2026, facing charges of business burglary and possession of suspected stolen property.

The charges stem from a burglary reported at a local hardware store in Musina on Monday, 12 January 2026. According to police reports, the business premises were closed for the day with everything in order. However, upon reopening the following morning, employees discovered that the palisade fence and iron mesh fence had been cut.

Further inspection revealed that one roll of mesh wire fence had been stolen from the property.

The matter was immediately reported to the Musina Police Station, prompting an investigation. Following intelligence gathered during the investigation, a multi-disciplinary team comprising Musina Detectives and the Task Team conducted an intelligence-driven operation on Saturday, 17 January 2026, at Musina Nancefield.

The operation led to the arrest of the suspects and further investigations directed police to Matswale Phase Three, where the stolen property was allegedly concealed at a residential premises. During a search, police recovered and seized one roll of mesh wire fence, believed to be the stolen item.

Police have confirmed that investigations are continuing, and further arrests cannot be ruled out.
